A Sweet Stop in Perugia
The Chocolate Museum in Perugia is an essential stop and the first on our tour! Established by the historic Perugina company, the museum tells the story of chocolate, from its ancient origins to the present day. You’ll learn how cocoa has been used over the centuries and how it became one of the world’s most beloved treats.
Perugian Chocolate
Perugia is especially famous for its Baci Perugina chocolates. These delightful treats, with a hazelnut core wrapped in dark chocolate, symbolize love and affection. At the museum, you can watch the production process of Baci chocolates and sample a variety of chocolate creations—an absolute treat!
Interactive Chocolate Experience
The museum offers plenty of interactive experiences: chocolate-making demonstrations, guided tastings, and creative workshops. Under the guidance of a master chocolatier, you’ll create iconic Perugina chocolates in the chocolate school’s laboratory using professional tools. The experience concludes with a guided museum tour and a rich tasting of chocolate products. Of course, there’s also a shop where you can purchase exclusive products and souvenirs.
