civitavecchia transfer service

Civitavecchia is an Italian town of just over 50,000 inhabitants. It is part of the metropolitan municipality of Roma Capitale even though it is located 88 km north-west from the center of the Eternal City. It is known mostly for its port, which has been considered the most important of the Capital since ancient times.

The Port of Civitavecchia was founded by the Roman emperor Trajan between 106 and 108 AD, and, still today, is one of the most important in Italy; the second in Europe considering the number of passengers who transit annually. About 11 million tons of goods and about 2,6 million passengers transit there every year.

The port is divided into two macro-areas: the south one, dedicated to tourism, boating and cruises; and the north the area, used for commercial traffic, fishing and cabotage.

The area is not well connected by public transports.  There are some buses that leave from the local train station and lead to the port; but considering scheduling problems, delays and long waiting times, travelling becomes complicated.

To avoid these possible problems the best way is to rely on a taxi service.

The advantages are: the arrival is directly in the port area, which is not accessible by public transport, the departure is possible from everywhere you need and, above all, the prices are convenient.

The service is available for the journey from Rome to the port of Civitavecchia. But the departure point can also be one of the two main Rome airports: Fiumicino and Ciampino.

Civitavecchia Transfer Service company and staff (drivers) attended a course at the port of Civitavecchia which allows our vehicles and passengers to access the boarding area under the ship / cruise.

So the customers who rely on our service will be taken / left directly in front of the ship / cruise.
